So Who Is Lying More?

China reported great trade data for January which saw exports and imports soar by more than 20% each compared to 2012.    A few hours later, the US did the same, reporting even better trade data which saw the trade deficit plunge the most in nearly three years.    In other words, either China is massively under-reporting its net exports to the U.S. or the U.S. is boosting its net imports figure.     Or, just as plausible, both nations are simply pulling numbers out of thin air.

Turkey Will Not Halt Gold-for-Gas

U.S. officials are concerned that Turkey’s gold-for-gas program is giving Iran a financial lifeline.    In fact, Turkey, a NATO ally, is not swayed by Washington’s pompous posturing.    Could the reality that gold-for-gas be a direct threat to the petrodollar and that is why the U.S. is panicked.    Looks like the US led NATO needs to invade Turkey before people start realizing the dollar is worthless.

In one calendar year, the federal debt, according to the Treasury, increased 47.2 billion dollars.    During that same time, the Fed bought 51.1 billion dollars in debt.    Well, at least we know that Benji Bernanke is not monetizing the debt…   Not!

Even with the Fed’s indefinite printing of 85 billion dollars per month, there are calls for the printing 30 trillion dollars.    All this printing of currency out of thin air will simply destroy any perceived value that the dollar has in a relatively short amount of time.   So, is it any wonder that world history is being made by China, the largest gold miner that is importing immense quantities on top of that, as they strive to have the world’s reserve currency?

FDA Approves First GMO Flu Vaccine

A new vaccine for influenza, approved by the FDA, has hit the market, and this one is a masterpiece of potential troubles.    Not only does it contain genetically modified proteins, but it derived from insect cells.   So rather than have to produce vaccines the “traditional” way using egg cultures, GMO’s can be used.    In addition, the FDA also approved a flu vaccine containing dog kidney cells back in November.    So, is a flu vaccine, made from cockroaches because they never sneeze, coming out soon?

Police ‘Mistakenly’ Shoot Up Two Trucks

During the manhunt for ex-LA cop Christopher Dorner, the LAPD shot two women delivering newspapers – who were in their now gun-riddled blue pick-up.   25 minutes later, the Torrance police officers shot up another blue pick-up.    Hmm…. I didn’t know it was blue pick-up hunting season.
