Safe Hands?
http://www.zerohedge.com

German politicians are actually saying that the Fed is taking good care of their gold.    So, receiving 5 tons of poor quality gold, when promised 84 tons in the first year of repatriation, is good?    They cite that it is safe to store gold reserves outside the country so it can be swapped for more foreign currency in an emergency.    That gold is about as safe as a keg of beer at a frat house during homecoming.

Death Bed

Things in America are becoming increasingly difficult.     It is estimated that the buying power of five dollars in 2013 was equivalent to $3.26 in 1995.     If countries that have been forced to trade in U.S. dollars against their will get a chance to switch to another currency, they will.    It is only a matter of time.

GDP Disaster
http://www.zerohedge.com

2014’s first quarter GDP was -2.9% which is far below the expected -1.8%.    What is interesting is that 250 billion dollars in federal debt bought negative 74 billion dollars in GDP.     Bank of America and White House officials have announced that is was because of the winter.    Of course, the blame for the second quarter will be blamed on El Niño.

Seasonal flu vaccines, which are pushed on virtually everyone these days, including young babies, pregnant women and the elderly, contain upwards of 51 parts per million of mercury, or 25,000 times the legal maximum for drinking water established by the EPA.     Mercury is one of the most poisonous substances known to mankind and speaking of the EPA…

EPA supervisors, at the Denver office, have instructed their employees to stop defecating in the hallway.     At least it is not poisonous and maybe they’ll post signs?

PIN Codes
http://www.wired.com

Thanks to Google Glass, a person can record your PIN code on your iPad from 10 feet away.     With high-def camcorders, that distance is increased to 150 feet.    One cautious hand over the screen might be the answer or just dump the smart devices.     Speaking of smart devices…

Warrant Required
http://www.nytimes.com

In some welcomed good news, in unanimous ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that police must obtain a warrant to search a suspect’s cellphone unless there is an emergency circumstance.      Now, does this also include people in the ‘Constitution Free‘ zone as well?

Finally, please prepare now for the escalating economic and social unrest.     Good Day!

Numbers
http://www.breitbart.com

In a hearing before the Congressional Budget Committee, Obama’s budget director, Jeff Zients, admitted he did not know how much debt was added with Obama’s 2014 proposed budget.    He stated that there are a lot of numbers in the budget.   Perhaps, ole “bats in the belfry” Obama should consider hiring “The Count” from Sesame Street.

Americans Scared
http://www.shtfplan.com

Americans are not scared about a possible economic collapse, real estate or labor market downturn, or a currency meltdown.      Instead, as the stock market hits record highs, Americans are afraid they are not getting a piece of the action.     To that end, they are transferring money from bank accounts into the stock market.     It goes to show you that a fool and his money are soon parted.

Retail sales
http://www.reuters.com

According to officials at the Commerce Department, U.S. retail sales unexpectedly contracted by 0.4% in March – which is the second time in three months.    Unexpectedly?    The media really need to find a new word.     Anyway, the payroll tax increase is hurting consumer confidence as it tumbled in April.

Five Reasons PC Sales Have Nose Dived
http://abcnews.go.com

Here are a few…
1. Tablets, like the iPad, are eating into the PC market.
2. People are downgrading from Windows 8 because it makes Vista look good.
3. Why upgrade something that works fine?
I personally also think that people may be getting burned out with so many technology advancements in such a short time.    Why buy something that is out-of-date the instant you buy it?

http://www.youtube.com

When the next major fiscal crisis occurs, it will be global, sovereign, and very likely final.     To that end, you will need three things…   Real assets, Real friends, and Real skills.    Personally, I would also add a good mindset as well.

Capital Controls
http://www.cnbc.com

EU banks are requesting a year delay in the implementation of the Basel III because US banks have not implemented these capital control rules.    The Basel III was the world’s regulatory response to the 2007-09 financial crisis that would force banks to triple the amount of basic capital they hold.    In short, international banks are going to wiggle out of monetary restrictions and return to the criminal status quo.

Goodbye Petrodollar, Hello Agri-Dollar?
http://www.zerohedge.com

The days of the petrodollar “as defined” may be over.    With that said, the primary commodity imbalance that will shape the face of global trade in the coming years is not that of energy, but that of food.    The biggest winners will be Brazil, Canada, and the US while the biggest loser would be China.    In short, farmers could easily be the sought-out profession in the future.    Of course, the Agri-dollar may play second fiddle to the aqua-dollar.

India Tries To Avert Downgrade
http://www.bloomberg.com

Top Indian officials said they will cut the widest budget deficit among the world’s largest emerging markets and curb public debt.    Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings lowered India’s sovereign credit outlook this year, citing a widening budget deficit.    In short, India is on the path that Greece was on and India has a lot more physical gold to give to international bankers.    This is another tactic, taken by India’s Central bank, to dematerialize gold and make it imaginary in that country.

Adult Diaper Boom
http://azizonomics.com

In Japan, more adult diapers are being sold than baby diapers.    In fact, this is a pronounced trend all over the developed world.    As people live longer and as fertility rates fall, there is a proportionately a larger and larger population of elderly retirees being supported by a proportionately smaller and smaller population of young workers paying taxes and interest on debt.    In short, a society with a high debt, with a high average age, is simply going to collapse upon itself.

Although in the research phase now, the USDA has another big brother device for the people.    To clamp down on food stamp fraud of duplicate participation, not the misuse of food-stamps, people on food stamps may have to receive a RFID chip to be in the food stamp program.   Remember the days when people used to be embarrassed to show they were on food stamps?

Virtual Doctor Visit
http://www.express.co.uk

As a precursor to what is coming to the US, many doctor appointments in the UK, will be done virtually over the internet using Ipads and Skype.    Yes, instead of paying to see the doctor, people will pay to connect to one online.    Of course, older people, who do not have access to the internet, may lose out.    Also, does this mean that if you friend your doctor on Facebook, you will get another deductible removed from the bill?
