Bribes Using “Gold cards” in China
http://www.sovereignman.com

In cases where some Chinese, who want to hide their wealth, have to bribe officials in Hong Kong, instead of using cash or electronic transfers, they simply set up a meeting and hand the official one, or more, gold cards that are made of physical gold.   You see it all the time in business, where business cards are handed around.   Gives a whole new meaning to having a gold card.   Perhaps, there will be silver cards soon.

The Possible Black Swan For Skyrocketing Gold
http://kingworldnews.com

Just imagine if a credible whistle-blower, from the Bundesbank, came out and said that the German gold is gone.   In fact, the German gold audit could easily spark others and make the situation more interesting.   Also, it is very likely that 227.7 million ounces, or 87%, from the US gold reserves, were sold into the market to keep the gold price in check.   The idea that Central Banks do not have the gold they claim they have would unleash pure pandemonium in the gold, and soon later, the silver market because people would realize there is no physical backing paper.   With that said, after preparing, keep stacking physical.

More than 4.3 million, or 5.6 percent, of the 76 million family households in the U.S. today are multigenerational households.    Among the states, Hawaii, at 11%, had the highest percentage with North Dakota having the lowest at 2%.   How long before families have multigenerational beds?

http://www.cnbc.com

French President Hollande seems to think that the euro zone is “on track” to solving its crisis during yet another summit.   Greece on fire, Spain and Italy in fiscal turmoil and Germany being asked to bail out everyone.   Yes, the EU is back on track; however, the track leads right over the fiscal cliff.

The Political Black Swan
http://www.zerohedge.com

Just imagine a Bush vs. Gore tie fiasco coming at the same time as a major fiscal cliff.   Things are gearing up for such a scenario in this election where the political wheels will be frozen solid as people fight for the position of head puppet.   On top of that, add the tax increases and the mandatory government spending cuts and one can easily imagine absolute chaos.

American Savings
http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com

A recent survey finds that 40% of Americans have less than $500 in savings.   Not all respondents were poor. In fact, some had big houses, big mortgages or 401(k)s; however, they did not have five Benjamin’s to rub together right now.   One should have an emergency fund set aside to address unforeseen circumstances and $500 just does not cut it.   Of course, loss of jobs due to lack of demand is not unforeseen.

Problem is Demand

First IBM, then Intel, and now Google.   The quarterly statements from these three, and others, are showing that this economy, despite the BS put forth by the mainstream media and politicians, is beginning to grind to a halt.   The only real counterbalance to this negative economic activity is the the fact that the FED is printing money out of thin air.   And that will only last so long before the whole house of cards crashes down.

Greece Poised to Leave Euro
http://www.telegraph.co.uk

Here we go again…   Greece could leave the euro-zone within the next six months as Greece is in its fifth year of recession.    If Greece does leave the euro-zone, many will receive a massive haircut on the loans made to Greece.    In addition,, hopefully, the Greeks will look at Iceland as the model to follow.    They certainly have the natural resources to make a comeback very quickly on their own.

China’s Yuan Hits Record High
http://www.france24.com

At nearly 6.26 to $1.0, China’s currency hit a record high against the US dollar.    This marks the highest level since 1994 when China launched its modern foreign exchange market. So, what does this mean?    Expect higher prices at Wal-Mart.  Or maybe, they believe Romney, who has been bashing the Chinese for not floating the Yuan, will win and want to get on his good side?

Budget Gap Tops $1 Trillion Again
http://finance.yahoo.com

For the 4th straight year, the US has successfully spent more than a trillion dollars more than the government brought in.    The gap between the government’s tax revenue and its spending totaled $1.1 trillion.    Tax revenue rose 6.4 percent from 2011 to $2.45 trillion.    And spending fell 1.7 percent to $3.5 trillion.    Needless to say, with an aging population and a weak economy, things do not look better for next year’s budget either.

New $100 Bills Stolen
http://money.cnn.com

Federal authorities are not saying how much; however, it appears that a large amount of the newly-designed $100 bills, bound for the Federal Express err…    Reserve in New Jersey were stolen.    Of course, it is no real secret that many in government want to get rid of cash all together, and the loss of so many not-released $100 dollar bills, that were to go public in 2013, will only add fuel to that fire.    Needless to say, this sounds like an inside job; however, this is the same government that lost pallets of $100 bills in Iraq.
