Something must have happened when officials at the Texas University Fund said they wanted delivery of physical gold because, all of a sudden, these same people have sold 375 million dollars in physical gold for gold futures and equities.    Was it fear from the manipulated price take down, or something else?    Still, Texas lawmakers are considering a bill to start a state-supported depository for gold bars; however, where will this gold come from?

First Katrina, now it turns out that the para-military police, who conducted door-to-door searches without specific probable cause, may have confiscated firearms from innocent citizens in Watertown.    This is exactly why the 2nd amendment was written…   Not for hunting…    Not for sport…   Not against terrorist suspects…    But to protect one’s self from a tyrannical government.    In some good news, because of the sequester, the DHS will only be able to buy 260 million rounds of ammo.     Of course, we are not told how many rounds the Social Security Administration and other agencies are buying.

It is healthy to second-guess one’s decisions.    Since the early 2000s, gold prices have risen by several multiples; however, since 2011, gold has traded sideways.    With that said, the debt-to-GDP ratios across the developed world are going from bad-to-worse.    Then, there is the backwardation that is going on and the increased printing by central banks.    So, is gold finished?    In the short term, that is debatable; however, in the long term, it is far from finished.

Ever wonder what those numerical codes mean on those fruits and veggies you buy?    If the Price Look-Up, or PLU code only has four numbers this means that it was grown conventionally or “traditionally” with the use of pesticides.    If there are five numbers, and the number starts with “8?, this means that the item is genetically modified.    If there are five numbers, and the number starts with “9?, this means that it was grown organically and is not genetically modified.

Shady DHS Bullet Contract

Well, it appears that the idiots at the Department of Homeland Insecurity are at it again with more bullet purchases.    The DHS appears to be contracted to purchase 200,000 more bullets from a shady company that formed in just the last 60 days.      The number of rounds being purchased is driven by some anticipated need that leads to a bureaucratic decision.   In addition, the circumstances that the DHS paid for the rounds is suspect.    Imagine paying only 21 cents for each  bullet from a Las Vegas company that mysteriously formed in December 2012 that is headquartered in mini-mart parking lot.    In addition, this company also got awarded a contract for concrete barriers and cameras that, with the bullets makes a nice $276,000.   Don’t hold your breath on any official inquiry because this may be a payoff for Senator Harry Reid.
