FAA Grounds Private Drones
http://minnesota.cbslocal.com

A Minnesota business, using drones for aerial photographic work on construction sites, had a booming business until the they received a call from the FAA ordering them to ground their drones because current regulations don’t allow unmanned aircraft for commercial purposes.   The government can fly drones, but American citizens cannot.  Sounds like tyranny; however, the good news is that the U.N. is trashing the U.S. governments use of drones in infringing on Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Is Gold Finished?
http://seekingalpha.com

It is healthy to second-guess one’s decisions.    Since the early 2000s, gold prices have risen by several multiples; however, since 2011, gold has traded sideways.    With that said, the debt-to-GDP ratios across the developed world are going from bad-to-worse.    Then, there is the backwardation that is going on and the increased printing by central banks.    So, is gold finished?    In the short term, that is debatable; however, in the long term, it is far from finished.

Codes On Stickers Of Fruits And Some Veggies

Ever wonder what those numerical codes mean on those fruits and veggies you buy?    If the Price Look-Up, or PLU code only has four numbers this means that it was grown conventionally or “traditionally” with the use of pesticides.    If there are five numbers, and the number starts with “8?, this means that the item is genetically modified.    If there are five numbers, and the number starts with “9?, this means that it was grown organically and is not genetically modified.

China Breaches World Trade Rules
http://www.telegraph.co.uk

Washington has issued a blistering attack on China for persistent breaches of world trade rules.   China forces foreign firms to give up trade secrets in clear violation of WTO rules.    Of course, this should not be surprising coming from a communist nation that employs slave labor for manufacturing.    If not for the US debt that China owns, the obvious solution is to block all Chinese imports.

Sweden’s War On Cash Stumbles

The Swedish people, faced with a number of banks that refuse to use cash, are beginning to gain the upper hand.    In fact, despite the anti-cash propaganda spewed by private bankers and government officials, people are using cash in their daily transactions.    Perhaps it is because cash does not rely on the internet.   Perhaps it is because cash does not record peoples purchases.    Whatever the reason…    Keep using the physical and get out of the digital.
