Germany to Fed: We Demand To See Our Gold

The Fed is stonewalling the Germans and refusing to let them even see the gold they own.   So far, the 1,536 metric tons of gold, worth about $93 billion at spot prices, has only been backed up by personal assurances.   That and 10 cents will get you a packet of cancer causing aspartame sweetener at Starbucks.   The Bundesbank has pledged to bring back and inspect 150 tons of gold from the US over the next several years.   Of course, they have a higher chance of getting that gold than the Romanians who want their 93.4 tons of gold returned.   Back a the Bundesbank, a Bundesbank official is quietly assuring the New York Fed that the gold issue will go away.    Not with other nations demanding their gold back, it won’t.

The Dollar, Euro and Gold

Tom Fitzpatrick states that the dollar index may move up to 84 meaning the the dollar’s perceived delusional value will go up.   Turning to the euro, it appears to be in a topping pattern, and could see sharp down moves.   Turning to gold, it appears to be in a consolidation pattern; however, be ready for upward swings.   In the end, gold will outperform all paper currencies as it has been doing so for quite some time now.

Unemployment Rate

Producing only 171,000 new jobs in October, the bogus unemployment rate moved higher to 7.9%.   Economist, no doubt working for Obama, predicted that unemployment would fall to 7.7%.   In addition, long term unemployment, that is 27 weeks or longer, rose to 40.6%.    Also, average hourly earnings dropped by one cent to $23.58.   The good news is that the unemployment rate for government workers dropped again to 4.2%.   Doesn’t that bring a warm feeling to your heart?

Food Stamp Growth Greater than Job Creation

Since 2009, 194,000 new jobs have been created while 14.7 million have been added to the food stamp rolls.   To put this into context. 75 people were added to the food stamp rolls for every 1 new job created.   In short, the U.S. is devolving into a welfare state.

U.S. District Judge William Griesbach, nominated by George W. Bush, ruled that it was reasonable for federal agents to enter private property without permission and install covert digital surveillance cameras without a warrant.   Although, in this case, it was rural property and the cameras were in open fields; it doesn’t take a genius to believe that the next step is install these covert “Peeping-Tom” cameras into people’s private bedrooms for the TSA err…  federal agents to monitor.  Hey, maybe they will deploy camouflaged toilet surveillance drones.

Hurricane Sandy made landfall days ago and there are reports of looting in hard hit areas.    Ahead of the storm panic buying left grocery and hardware store shelves empty with many others demanding actions from government officials.    No food, heat, gas, and tainted water supplies has that effect on people.    Perhaps, with residents having to go dumpster diving for food along with fist fights over gas shortages, people may wake up to the realization that big government is ultimately useless in crisis situations.

Sweden Pays Jobless youth to Move to Norway

To reduce the 25% unemployment figures, the Swedish government has taken to paying people to look for work in Norway.    Any Swedish citizen, aged between 18 and 28, can volunteer to take a “Job Journey” to Oslo in hopes of finding a job.     The Swedish government will pick up the 20 euro a night bill at a youth hotel in Oslo.   Of course, food is not included.

No Internet Equals No Election

North America has been experiencing a lot of unusual outages of internet traffic that are not related to Hurricane Sandy.   In fact, at one point, the North American Network was only at 51% up with 18 out of the 37 monitors routers down.   Many voting machines require the use of  the internet and if the internet goes down, then there will be no voting.   A few possible reasons for the internet going down would be.
1. Obama orders a shut down of the internet using Executive Orders.
2. NSA err…   Hackers take out main network ISP routers.

Greece’s 2013 Budget Is A Total Disaster

The Greece 2013 budget, that has to be approved by their leaders does the following…
1. Increases the Debt-to-GDP to 189.1%
2. Create a budget deficit of 5.2% of GDP.
3. Result in their GDP contracting 4.5%
The people who came up with this budget obviouslywould fail a urine drug test folks.

Euro-zone Unemployment at 11.6%

With the addition of 169,000 for a total of 25.8 million, unemployment for the 27 member Euro-zone reached another record at 11.6% last month as the financial crisis continues to take its toll.   The lowest unemployment rates were in Austria and Luxembourg at 4.4 and 5.2% respectfully.   The highest unemployment rates were in Spain and Greece at 25.8 and 25.1% respectfully.   If we had honest figures, the US would probably be in the same neighborhood.

Bribes Using “Gold cards” in China

In cases where some Chinese, who want to hide their wealth, have to bribe officials in Hong Kong, instead of using cash or electronic transfers, they simply set up a meeting and hand the official one, or more, gold cards that are made of physical gold.   You see it all the time in business, where business cards are handed around.   Gives a whole new meaning to having a gold card.   Perhaps, there will be silver cards soon.

Just imagine if a credible whistle-blower, from the Bundesbank, came out and said that the German gold is gone.   In fact, the German gold audit could easily spark others and make the situation more interesting.   Also, it is very likely that 227.7 million ounces, or 87%, from the US gold reserves, were sold into the market to keep the gold price in check.   The idea that Central Banks do not have the gold they claim they have would unleash pure pandemonium in the gold, and soon later, the silver market because people would realize there is no physical backing paper.   With that said, after preparing, keep stacking physical.

$250 Million Grant Creates 400 Jobs

Battery maker A123 Systems received about $250 million to create thousands of new jobs in late 2009.   Since 2009, this now bankrupt energy business pushed by Obama, created only 408 positions.   This is about $300,000 per job.   Officials state that the grant was used for manufacturing equipment which now sits idle.   Pretty much like Obama when he is not on the golf course.

More than 4.3 million, or 5.6 percent, of the 76 million family households in the U.S. today are multigenerational households.    Among the states, Hawaii, at 11%, had the highest percentage with North Dakota having the lowest at 2%.   How long before families have multigenerational beds?
