According to Jim Rickards, we are in the midst of a currency war where currencies are racing to the bottom.     In response, Russia and China have increased their physical gold reserves by 70% and several hundred percent respectively.    In addition, oil rich Saudi Arabia feels stabbed in the back with the U.S. giving the green light for Iranian nuclear development.     More and more, other nations are working together on an economic front and this spells bad news for the U.S. Dollar.

China and Russia are making huge investments in commodity-miners.     China is buying a copper mine in Peru, that produced 450,000 tons of copper in the last five years.     Russia is in the process of DE-offshorisation of their gold mining operations.
