In a first in Europe, all 90,000 Dutch bank employees will take an oath ‘to do no harm’ as it were, punishable by the Banking Association.     We are supposed to believe that those who fail to abide by the new rules may be blacklisted, face fines or suspensions.    Seems like a tall tree and a short rope would be a better deterrent.

Bank of England officials told currency traders about sharing impending customer orders with their counterparts at other firms.    Traders representing some of the world’s biggest banks shared information about aggregate orders before currency benchmarks were set.    In short, it appears that the banks have been not only been rigging the LIBOR, but the FOREX markets as well.    Yet, we are to believe there is no manipulation in the gold and silver market?

Dominoes Falling

It appears that cooperation between the world’s central banks is now gone and it’s every man for himself.    Cooperation is so important for the stability of the entire global financial structure that, if lost, the dominoes start falling.    We are already seeing capital controls in the Ukraine and South America and it is spreading.    Add that to the tremendous fall in COMEX gold inventory in January, right before the delivery month of February, and things are not looking good for those paper shorting gold.

The final ruling of the Board of Industry Appeals found that a Dutch Pension Fund could invest in gold.      The court found that because of the crash of 2008 and the euro crisis, the pension fund should be able to have the flexibility to take care of their clients.    This is a defeat for that country’s Central Bank.    Now, getting their hands on the gold is another matter.

Indian Temples Fight Back

It appears some of the temples in India are now drawing a line in the sand and are not providing information on how much gold they have.   The gold stored in those temples was contributed by devotees over thousands of years and Hindu groups will not allow anyone to usurp it.   Some temples actually believed the government and stored their gold in government vaults and when they try to get it back…   They will find that their government can do miracles too….    It’s gone!

Court Rejects Holder

A federal judge has rejected Holder’s BS about keeping the courts from wading into the “Fast and Furious” documents.    Perhaps we will find that operation “Fast and Furious”, that resulted in hundreds of deaths of men, women, and children on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, was less about drug cartels and more about Holder’s contempt for the 2nd amendment and the U.S. Constitution.

Both the USDA and the Bureau of Economic Analysis Websites went down because of the U.S. government shutdown. Gee, what a shame that we are not treated to more lies err… statistics of what a wonderful job they are doing.    If only the other alphabet agencies could go dark, then we would all see what a black hole they truly are.

Bills are often named with the opposite intent of the name and this New York Bill is no different.    A new state program will reward people who successfully snitch on someone, who has an illegal firearm, with 500 dollars.    It almost seems as if this campaign borrows a page from the Department of Homeland Security’s, “See Something, Say Something” propaganda machine.     Only problem is that if they snitch on the wrong person, they could be in big trouble.    For example, let just call them good family men who know how to arrange “accidents”.
