You know things are getting bad when a main stream media outlet, like CNBC, starts covering the story of the U.S. Dollar’s demise.   Anyway, according to the criminals at the IMF, the dollar has drifted to a 15 year low compared to the other phony currencies.   This indicates other countries are more willing to use other currencies to do business.   Hell, I bet that there is less Monopoly money than physical and digital U.S. Dollars in existence right now.

Nuclear Waste Site Leaking

Officials at the Department of Energy said that liquid levels are decreasing in one of the underground tanks at the Hanford nuclear reservation.    The leak could range from 150 to 200 gallons over the course of a year and poses a potential long-term threat to groundwater and rivers.   Perhaps we should just flood the whole site with boron and hafnium to absorb and neutralize the radioactive waste safely.

US Consumer Confidence, during the Christmas season, saw the largest 2-month drop in over 15 months.    All age cohorts lost confidence and it appears those earning over $35k are also beginning to worry.    In addition, only 27,000 houses sold in November after digging into the bogus numbers presented by the Census Bureau.
