Prisoner Exodus in California Continues


News Flash:

Facing a budget crunch and court pressure, Governor Jerry Brown is transferring, or releasing, thousands of prisoners. 22,500 prisoners, or 15 percent of the inmate population are being transferred to county jails. The state needs to shed another 15,000 inmates between now and next summer.
