Global regulators gave banks four more years and greater flexibility to build up cash buffers.    The pull-back from a draconian earlier draft of new global bank liquidity rules helped prevent another financial crisis.    This is because the banks simply would not have the cash buffers by January 2015.    If global banks cannot have the basic cash buffers by 2015, then they must really in the doghouse today in 2013.

Sorry Folks, The $1 Trillion Coin Is Unconstitutional

Can the Treasury really pay its bills with trillion dollar coins?     The platinum coin solution appears to be authorized. by a statute, which allows the Secretary of Treasury to issue the coin.   With that said, the statute appears to be an unconstitutional delegation of legislative authority because the US Constitution gives only Congress  the power to coin money.    Of course, we have not been living by the US Constitution for some time.    And if we are not living by the US Constitution, do not be surprised with the uptick in media hype of making Obama president for life.

Wow! If this were your financial statement, you would be in prison; however, since we have criminals running the government, everything is fine.  Of course, they could just implement their plan to cast those 1 trillion dollar platinum coins and pay off the debt that way.

Unemployment Rate 7.8%

The BLS, reports that 155,000 jobs were added in December and the official unemployment was 7.8%.    Construction and manufacturing jobs increased by 30,000 and 25,000 respectively.    The Underemployment rate, U-6, remains steady at 14.5% and the labor force participation rate is 63.6%. what is unusual?    These are the same relative numbers despite the holiday season where there were supposed to be a lot of temporary hires.   In addition, older people, who are in debt, are not retiring and keeping their jobs; thus effectively, blocking the young from getting jobs.
