GDP figures show the euro-zone lurched deeper into recession in the fourth quarter, when even the robust German economy contracted. The Euro-zone economy contracted 0.6%, which is the worst since 2009. Portugal’s economy contracted the worst by 1.8%.

It turns out that Jack Lew, who has been nominated for Turbo Tax Geithner’s job, received big corporate payouts for dubious work and socked it away in the Cayman Islands to possibly avoid paying taxes. With that said, Democrat Max Baucus, who is an outspoken foe of offshore tax havens, tried come to Jack Lew’s rescue. Still, Jack can you say tax evasion? Also, is this becoming a tradition like central banks having gold?

Despite scanner audio which clearly reveals the plan to “burn down” the building, officials for the San Bernardino sheriff’s department ludicrously claimed that the cabin fire which killed Christopher Dorner was not started intentionally. Despite all of the denials otherwise, let’s not forget the so-called accidental pick-up shootings days earlier to help connect the dots. In criminal investigations, investigators look for motive and the motive here was clear… Revenge. At this point, it wouldn’t be a surprise to learn that the cops toasted marsh-mellows at the scene.
