U.S. Jobless Claims Total 359,000 in Latest Week


News Flash:

The number of Americans who filed requests for jobless benefits fell by 5,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 359,000. Claims normally range from 300,000 to 400,000 when the economy is growing. So it will be joyously reported as down this week before it is quietly revised up next week?

Gas prices are going up at an incredible pace and the Labor department expects us to believe that employers are hiring? Give me a break! If they are hiring, are the jobs essentially the ones that have employees wearing name tags?

EPA Loses Again! Yeah!!!


News Flash:

An appeals court ruled in favor of the State of Texas. It ruled the agency is required to take another look at the permits for the projects because it originally took four years to review them, much longer than the statutory deadline of 18 months.

State Attorney Abbott said the following: “Showing seemingly no regard for the federal laws that govern what it can and cannot do, the EPA unlawfully disapproved a commonsense Texas air permitting program that fully complied with the federal Clean Air Act and reduced harmful emissions”

News Flash:

Justice Antonin Scalia tore into the government’s arguments with relish and openly mocking the government’s case.

At one point, Scalia asked for a deictonary for the government’s definition of the word “essential”. When he was told by government’s attorney that they waere not using it in the true dictionary sense, Scalia then mouthed off… “How do we know that? When people speak, I assume they are speaking English.”

The halarity of the way the government will contort itself to try to hide its aim of socialized medicine is comical in the extreme.
